Waking up in fear

In the morning, I struggle to get out of bed..I seem to build myself up and sometimes feel relatively normal by 3:00 pm, happy that I will be able to escape in sleep and be in peace soon. It makes me sad living like this.

It doesn’t have to stay this way. I know it’s hard now. I feel for you. Maybe when you’re doing well you can make a plan for what you can do in the morning to set your day in another direction. We can do intentional things that can change the direction of our day and our lives. Hoping you find good ideas here to give a try. Nothing will be easy and nothing will be quick. But if you try something and stick with it for a while, you may find benefit in it and get to a better place. That’s the goal. Not to get stuck in it, but to find a way to get to a better place. Wishing you the best.❤️

I have learned a lot about neuroplasticity. One of the people that I have followed in this said that it takes about a month to change the neuropathways in our brain that are dominant and unhelpfu, and create new ones that are better for us. It takes intentional effort to do something different for a period of time in order to see change. It’s not easy and the process may be frustrating. But science has proven that we have the ability to break the negative pathways that have created ruts that are thoughts immediately go to, and to intentionally create new ones according to the direction we want to go. Wishing you well in moving forward. ❤️

i love the neuroplasticity theories @PamelaS mentioned so much that i learned how to read swedish in order to keep up with the innovations rolling out of the stockholm brain institute in the 90's. i am happy to announce that the theories have been well translated since then.

but i think i'll resist the temptation to go mega-nerd on you and put the focus on more traditional ways of saying it takes time to change an established behavior pattern, such as starting your day with the dread of getting out of bed. it is, indeed, a sad way to live. steadying support while you find your way past ^it^.
