Ok, I know, very trivial in the big scheme of things, but I needed a new cell phone carrier. I find the entire experience of that mind boggling - too many companies, too many plans, LTE this and Gigabytes that.
So, I finally decided on the carrier that seemed to offer the best plan, coverage, etc -only to be told by their "live chat" rep that my phone wouldn't work on their network because of blah blah blah ....
So I turned to the 21st Century version of the Oracle of Delphi, Google, and found out the way to do it. Armed with that. I took my newly-unlocked phone into the new carrier's store today, said to the kid at the counter that I wanted my phone on their network, and about 20 minutes later I've now got full unlimited service, all the gigs I need, the same network (new carrier rides on the old carrier's network) and my bill got smaller.
Nothing much to do with PTSD but it is a little victory that makes me happy.
