Homemade vinaigrette—so easy! Minced garlic clove, 2 T olive oil, 1 T vinegar, couple good pinches of salt, plenty of pepper, 1 t of mustard, a bit of sugar, and a bit of lemon juice: put in a jar and shake. Optional add-ins: chopped herbs, white wine, mayonnaise, horseradish.
