LMFAO… I have yet to catch a sturgeon as big as a middling salmon or ambitious trout. All mine have to be tipped back in!!! So I’ve learned to consider sturgeon fishing as a nice nap on a grassy hill in sunshine

loving sundays especially since i no longer work mondays, like a second saturday night but further removed from work last friday

So I’ve learned to consider sturgeon fishing as a nice nap on a grassy hill in sunshine

its a boat ride for me, and the best fishing is in shallow tidal flat water where they sometimes even catch air when hooked. And yeah, its a catch and release sport and that kind of feels harmful but damn, they are the definition of resilient and the monsters will outlive the fishermen that release them

Although we (5 or 6 families watching it on a sheet in the back yard, mostly the adults watching and bantering back and forth, whilst the kids ran around & periodically voiced their disgust with us) may have ruined it for an entire generation of new kids who kept telling us to “SHHHHH! We want to hear THEM say it!” “Stop talking!” (I mean it! Anybody want a peanut?) “Dad!” (Call me Inigo Montoya). “Auntie! Make him stop!” (Yo. Mike. MOSTLY stop, would you? // MOSTLY? Eh. some local farmers are growing olives commercially. And tastings are happening, modeled after the well received local wine tastings, although wine producers prefer to be called growers, producers or entrepreneurs but wine farmer is not a thing!
so anyway, my favorite is anything local marketed by someone who still calls themselves a farmer. maybe i will develop a finer pallet as i gain experience?

Smoking. f*cking hell did I love smoking. Smiked do much i couldn't f*cking breathe, musta quit 50 times cause breathing is nice. When I got covid I quit for the last time. Though I know the real reason this time quitting was because I also stopped drinking as much as I used to drink. Because all my times restarting smoking were when drunk.

Touch wood, my breathing isn't too bad considering. I smoked so excessively.
