What Accent Do You Love?

I love many accents from the UK and Ireland. Spanish accents can be quite nice as well

Then again, pretty much every accent in the world sounds better than the Dutch one :P lol

I love British accents, but not the cockney ones. They just sound so friendly. And French people speaking English sounds very elegant.

I am also fond of British accents and French speaking English are rather elegant.

I dont hear much difference in the British accent to hear "cockney" but Id have to like hear them back to back really.

I love those British comedies on PBS Like "Keeping Up Apperences" and "Are You Being Served". I used to watch them all the time growing up. Loved it!

Christopher Walken... the whole package really but I love to hear him speak.
I have a slight New York accent and find it grating and I'm afraid I sound uneducated to others....
@ Mafia Science I love NY accents, but only men. The women sound angry! Also the voice makes a difference. Al Pacino is a good NY accent....Jerry Seinfeld not so much.

I know what you mean about hating your own accent though. I have a coastal CA accent that bothers me too. I sound like I spend my time making bead art and smoking pot. I have aggressive hostile thoughts, but when they come out of my mouth, they somehow sound like a new age philosophy. I have to put the F- word in there so people can tell I'm pissed. :banghead:

Love Scottish and Eastern European accents.

Hate posh English accents. It's like nails down a chalkboard for me. If I got stuck in an elevator with a female that had one of those lilting Mary Poppins accents I'd need a lawyer by the time I got out.

I also wonder why Vietnamese people can make every English word sound like a complete sentence.

You. Sit. Here. We. Close. Soon. It must be something about how Vietnamese is spoken that translates that way.
