What Are You Grateful For Today?

When my hubby has his open heart surgery next month, he'll be in the hospital for a at least a week-ish, so I had to find a space to stay/shower/recoup and regroup.

The hotel right across the street let me do a sniff test of their rooms and spaces today and I'll be able to hang there, at least in the room I stay in, without being made ill. Yay!

There were NO chemical smells in the room at all, and the sheets and other furntiure had no scents....OMG you don't understand how much of a relief that is.

I might have to do a mad dash through the common areas with a mask, but I'm good with that.

Had to wear one today while speaking to the medical staff at the hospital. Grrr...

They were definitely the recipients of some canary in the coal mine of life bookmarks and other educational info, @ladee . Planting seeds one sniff at a time. lol

The maintenance man who came by to help me out with new apartment issues. :) He fixed my shower!!
A couple of jobs to apply for.
My devotional.
Hallmark mystery movies on my DVR.
Nature in all its forms. Loving the trees outside of my window right now. :)
Ability to self-sooth yesterday after going into a free fall of catastrophizing. Phew, that was a close call.

- my inner adult (or maybe it is my more mature teenager) showing up just when I need her
- the ability to listen to what I need and take care
- the helpful person that helped to refund and reschedule my ticket
- the rain
- resources
- tree for calling me across the park to be with it, even when I wanted to tear the other way on my bike
- conversation with a friend
