This is a big deal for me and I have been very anxious about it. Moving to New Zealand is my plan b if my wife and I can’t save our marriage. I have been working on this for 3 months and my certificate of citizenship arrived today. The passport will arrive later. This means I can move to New Zealand by simply boarding a plane and flying there. Also free medical for life and the same applies to Australia by reciprocal agreement as well as many special privileges in many former Commonwealth countries.

Well I am going to try to say at least 3
/day:
1. My friend's much needed help and support
2. Some stranger in a pick up truck very late at night after work thursday that helped me from being most certainly squarely hit by a speeding car I couldn't see and saved me from being spooned up
3. Being able to start work later today last minute when I was late and am cold and finish latest of all
4. A sweet card and compliment from a friend who has been battling cancer
5. Hot coffee
6. Counter plans to deal with Trump tariffs and a potential easing of the equivalent of interprovincial tariffs
7. The temporary ceasefire and some peace and some signs of unity vs chaos and confusion
8. Work, food, heat, church, kind people

2 hours of XC skiing this morning. I am grateful I can do this so close to home and that my knee is tolerating it.

i finally gave up on waiting for a road rager that caused damage to my truck to do the right thing and avoid using his insurance to pay me. His insurance company assured me i will be made whole. he should have paid me, he should have looked at the police report. Now he will at least pay many times what it cost over years of an increased rate and maybe have to get a different policy with a higher rate insurance company, if he can find one. If not, he may have to get a secured loan to pay off his auto loan or his bank will insure the car using one of their choosing and they dont care what it costs, not even a little bit. poor road rager. He thought he was having a bad day before.
Anyway, instead of waiting for a check from the rager that blocked my calls, i am now waiting for a check from an insurance company that has read the police report and said i will be paid. for that i am grateful
