What Are You Grateful For Today?

Since the 4th of July is almost here, I am grateful that the City Council voted to postpone the shooting of fireworks, just too hot, dry and windy here!

So, the 4th will not be as noisy as it has been in the past!

Once it rains, a new date will probably be set!

I am grateful for the 4th of July for several reasons:

First of all, I still remember coming home after being away for the weekend to receive my "inner child", after going to hell and back, and it being the 4th of July. I remember buying myself red, white, and blue carnations to celebrate!

Also, last year, on the 4th, I got on-line to apply for SS benefits. I received a call the next day from the Social Security office to tell me that I was eligible to receive "Survivor's Benefits" (how ironic is that) because I was a widow.

I am grateful that I feel good today. I am grateful that the sun is trying to come out. I am grateful for this laptop and being a part of this forum and all of my forum freinds. I am so happy today.

I am grateful to have the next week and a half off from school.

I am grateful to have this wonderful new home that is all mine, for as long as I want to be here.

I am grateful to the chooks outside for free eggs, and the people in the house for sharing them with me.

I am grateful for the support of my family at school with this weeks hard work.

I am grateful for the great food I have been enjoying all week.

I am grateful for this wonderful day.

I am grateful for the water I had a bath in today, for cleansing me of all the murkiness I had, and taking from me the energy of others that did not belong to me.

I am grateful to the Earth for all she gives us.

I am grateful for having a sister who came today and brought me some craft things! She also had a lot of those 'free coffee' cards from McDonald's and she said she was going to give them to a homeless person - how thoughtful! She often buys food and drinks and hands them to a homeless person - so kind. She even said that if I get a passport she would take me somewhere nice for Christmas shopping! Her husband is a business man and has loads of air miles so we would travel business class for free!!!!!!!!!!

I am grateful that my husband asked me if I'd be OK when he went to work. :inlove:

I'm grateful that the doctor has ordered blood tests at last!
