I am grateful that my husband still knows who I am. I hate that the doctor told him the worst is yet to come. That was a blow. It makes me appreciate each day with my husband more. I am so grateful that he can still talk to me about what is going on with him.

I am grateful that my husband is having a good day. He opened the curtains and managed to turn on the tv by himself. I am so happy that he is having a good day. It makes such a difference for me.

Okay, I am grateful that the container we used to hold our Christmas dishes no longer smells like cat urine. Much soaking and a thorough washing in the washer helped. I would have been so angry if I would have had thrown it away since it was such a perfect container. No longer storing in basement where cats can get to it.

Also grateful that I was able to get out for awhile.

I am grateful for my Scrabbgle game I got myself for Christmas and that I had the fortitude to get myself something for Christmas, since few folks get me a present.

My sister sent me 2 phone cards, but the unspoken part of that so called gift is that she expects them to be used to call her, I am sure.

A cousin sent me a check for $20, which was a real gift, no strings attached.

A friend sent me a phone card and $35. She is a friend, knows what I need, but also kinows she has no idea what other gift I want. So, she left it up to me.

So, I guess I used some of the above money to buy the game. I ended up using the rest of it for groceries, but there is now some money in my checking account that is open for whatever I may wish to buy with it. I have not decided yet, but I am grateful that money is there!

I didn't get anything for Christmas because there was no money for me, but that's ok, I was able to buy my son presents which is more than enough present for me!

A few minutes ago my faith in mankind was restored. About three weeks ago I lost my wallet. Just now a young man knocked at my door and returned it to me. He said where he'd found it, and he'd gone to the address on the front of my ID, but I didn't there anymore. He didn't know what to do to return it to me, but then he turned over the ID card and saw the current address. Today was the first chance he had to come return it after learning for sure where I live. I thanked him and ask him to come back after the 3rd. I want to give him at least $10.00 for returning it to me. But I want to give him what I'd have paid for getting another eye glass prescription. Because that is a minimum of how much money he has saved me. I'll know on Monday how much that would have been. He really touched my heart. My SS card, ID, credit cards, prescriptions, my personal directive in case I'm in an accident, all my personal stuff you normally carry around with you. Can you believe I got it back after all this time?
