What Are You Grateful For Today?

Touched base with both my by phone friends, going to try a new class today.

I'm grateful for my own sense of humour. I make myself laugh. I'm grateful that others make me laugh.

I'm grateful that I'm indoors because it is chucking it down. This is the most it has rained in ages. That's saying something, because it's Scotland.

I'm grateful I have decided how I'm voting in the independence vote. Now I don't have to worry or think about it.

I'm grateful that I'm inspired to go and buy new clothes that fit me, and that I have a credit card to do so ;).

I'm grateful to be breathing too, thanks for the reminder @Nadia

I'm grateful that the medicine seems to be working. I wish it was cheaper, so that he didn't need to give me handouts, but I am so grateful that it is working.

Today is my birthday and I am fifty nine years old. My oldest granddaughter told me enjoy the last of my fifties. I will be celebrating with my family. It is my first birthday without my husband who died.

So much has changed since that happened. I am grateful to be rejoining the land of the living and I appreciate everything so much more now. I am listening to music again and so many other enjoyable things. I have learned and grown so much and I am moving on with my new life.

It sure took a long time to get to this place.

Thank you Britt so much for the well wishes. Well my daughter just blew me away and this is the best birthday I have ever had,

They got me a card where everyone wrote something sweet and kind, They got me a bunch of white roses and a beautiful plant with red flowers. I have been writing in a journal for my daughter things that mean so much to me for when I die and she got me two journals for each of the girls which I have written in. She also got me a sketch book, colored pencils, and a pencil sharpener for them for me to start drawing again. She said she missed it when I quit drawing. It is a beautiful book. They got me a huge balloon that says happy birthday and a chocolate cake and we all made moss gardens with all kinds of cool stuff. Kennys legacy lives on through my daughter and the grandchildren. This is the best birthday I have had in so many years.

My daughter is so kind, considerate and thoughtful. She is starting a new tradition where we do family projects on peoples birthdays. Good thing that I have a friend who will take me to a craft store to get stuff for projects.

I feel so overwhelmned. I am making cornbread to go with the crock pot chili she made. I have not made cornbread in years.

This is the best birthday I have ever had. I just am over whelmned by the compassion of my daughter and the girls. I am having a great day. It was bittersweet and now it is just wondrous. I am healing some more. Thank God for my daughter and her girls.

I am so grateful for my family. There is no drama here and we all love each other so much and help and support each other. I am so grateful to be living with them. The girls bring so much life into the home, which my daughter says over and over that this is my home too. I am blessed, blessed, blessed.

Hope never disappoints me. I am so glad and grateful that I always hoped for healing. But why did it have to take so many years?
