What Are You Grateful For Today?

Grateful that the day is over. (my back hurts again...ack)

Grateful that I was in the right place at the right time to reassure a 91 year old gentleman who drove himself to the doctor's office having chest pains. The staff were professional and EMS was activated, but as they were notifying the front desk, doing a summary, trying to notify his daughter, he was sitting quietly and became very scared. I was able to sit with him a couple minutes and share personally about my MIL not hitting her home alert button, and that EMS activating was the better and safer thing.

The staff told me thank you as I filled out my report request. I told them, "No thank you, you all were great!"

Today I am grateful for all the dogs with whom I am good friends. It makes me happier than I can express when I see one of them after an absence, and they run toward me ecstatically, like I am the one person that they were hoping to see most today. Dogs, bless em. They make the world a better place.

I am grateful that I did work out what was going on for me about writing for my essay and I did face it and do the editing down even though it felt scary for me. I am grateful for the changes within me.
