What are your pet peeves ?

My list is too huge so I'll just give a shortened version!

ALL narcissists
People who victim blame
Most therapists :hilarious:
Cigarette smoke
People who stand too close to the back of you in queues
People who think wearing a uniform makes them important
Men urinating in the street (regular occurrence where I live, one actually peed whilst walking down the street in broad daylight)
When the bus is so busy you have to sit beside a stranger
The selfish mothers with buggies who refused to let a man in a wheelchair on the bus
Loud motorbike engines
People who clip their nails and don't bin them afterwards
If a hair falls into my food
Hearing my neighbours being "intimate"
People who fart loudly and don't apologise
People who don't flush the toilet after using it
...

Someone getting mad at me for saying that I was not in the mood to be picked on yesterday. Which someone else overheard and reported to someone in authority and the person who is mad at me wasn't even the one I was speaking to! Well, along with a whole group of folks, he got a lecture about NOT PICKING ON PEOPLE. So now he refuses to speak to me at all, just because I spoke my mind about not liking being picked on one day. Sheeesh! Like can't *I* be in a mood one day, like when I have too much on my shoulders?

DO I HAVE TO put up with being picked on at all anyway? Who really LIKES being teased, I ask you anyways? I looked up "tease" in the dictionary and it says basically that it is intended to make the person who is being teased feel angry, confused or annoyed. Is that something that a FRIEND would do to you?

So I guess he never really was a friend in the first place. And I am better off now that he is not speaking to me, because at least he will not be picking on me and teasing me all the time, YEAH!

  1. Doctors who tell me I should be healed from my PTSD by now and not on disability still. Only to find out further in the conversation that I remembered the stuff about my pedophile, serial killer father in 2010. That I witnessed people dying when I was 3 years old. That shuts them up fast. But why the f^&k judge in the first place? Who died and made them god!?
  2. People who pass me on the right and then cut in front of me and slam on their brakes. WTF!?
  3. People who pass me on either side and rush past me only to have to stop at the same light I'm stopping at and I'm one car behind them.
  4. Doctors who make hasty diagnoses without checking out the facts thoroughly. I had one heart doctor who planned to put in a pacemaker in me based on me wearing compression hose. I've worn them since 2000 because had a skin disorder which caused lymphedema. The guy never read my medical info sheet I had given him which stated my previous conditions. Dumb shit!
  5. Doctors who don't take my food allergies seriously. One doctor laughed at my allergy to celery and carrots. He never heard of the allergies and thought I was faking it, seeking attention. I hesitated to say anything at all when he asked if I had allergies. Needless to say I pushed the jettison button after that doctor visit.
  6. When survivors of abuse assume I'm not listening to them because I can't get the facts right about their life or current story. When the reality is I dissociated during their talking because something triggered me and yet I didn't know something triggered me. Oh what fun it is to ride the PTSD slide....
  7. People who come up to me at church and dump their abuse story on me, but don't want me to share anything with them.
  8. The guy who keeps calling me about my buggy Windows software and asking me to open my computer window and follow his instructions. I don't do Windows. I found a hilarious u tube video where someone recorded their lengthy phone conversations with these people, leading them on and pretending that the technician is helping them. I string them on a bit sometimes just to have fun with them. Then I tell them they ought to be ashamed of their behavior and get a real job. And last, I tell them I've reported their phone number and company to the FCC and attorney general's office. That's when the swearing starts on their end of the phone conversation.
  9. Therapists who don't have a clue and haven't worked on their own issues yet.
  10. Therapists who try to do therapy through my therapy.
  11. Therapists who are in a personal crisis and don't take time off to deal with. Instead they try to work on their issues through my sessions with them.
  12. Therapists who are fresh out of graduate school and can't handle hearing about PTSD. WTF!? She said she worked with people who had PTSD. Huh?
  13. People who have food allergies and expect me to accommodate their needs but they won't accommodate mine. What the?
  14. Double standard anything: politics, news reporting, survivors sharing their stories, etc. It's like, "Hey I can unload my crap on you but don't you dare do it to me. I don't have the time, the energy, or the caring to hear what you've got say. Or it's I don't care about your opinion only mine." GRRR!
  15. People who interrupt each other on a news station, never letting the other person finish what they were saying.
  16. Narcissists.
  17. Pedophiles.
  18. Psychopaths and sociopaths.
  19. Hystrionics with strong Narcissistic tendencies.
  20. Controlling people
  21. Nasty and mean people
  22. Two faced, hypocritical pastors/ministers who give a sermon on something you're not supposed to do as a christian and then I catch them doing exactly what they said we shouldn't do. Do as I say not as I do....
And that's the condensed list....

Now that is what I'm talkin' about @Incongruous !!! you mentioned some that drive me nuts too... the ones about driving.. I am surprised I have not gotten into an altercation with someone yet.... but great list !!! Keep 'em comin'...

People who run red lights. Oh yeh it's alright for you in your metal box what about my legs you f*ck.

People who say "I'm not racist/ sexist but..." then you just know they're about to say something racists/sexist.

People who don't pick up their dog poop.

Oh yeah and space invaders, why do some people think it's ok to be right up in your face? And touchy-feely f*ckos too.

when your fork lands in your food.

When your socks fall down in your shoes.

"Health" drinks they're always full of sugar it's totally false advertising. you know what's a healthy drink..water.

Hmm these are just a list of things that annoy me I don't know if they count as pet peeves.

Oh yeah and when someone says something and your not sure what it means and ask then they roll there eyes and speak to you like your an idiot. That's really shitty I mean it's not like they were born with that knowledge they had to learn it too at some point.

People who do not see or hear me and judge and condemn me.
People that do not listen to me and treat me like I am stupid and then going through a great big hassle, and at the end they finally do what I asked in the first place, and my problem finally gets resolved.
Drivers who turn right in front of me in such a hurry only to make a turn right in front of me a few seconds later.
Drivers who tailgate me and refuse to go into the fast lane. Drivers intent on pushing me to go faster.
Long red lights and gridlock.
