What did you do for fun today?

Played with some kittens we have and watched some paranormal shows on Tv. This is a great idea for a thread! I really need to figure out at least one fun thing to do each day just for the literal fun of it.

Yes! Something good to keep in mind. I had a T who used to ask me what I had done nice for myself that day. :)

I went down to the "big city" yesterday to putter around. It was nice to just get out of my little town and go to other shops, look at neat little things, check out the local sites, go the library, have a boxed lunch, see how much the road patterns have changed(! a few detours were encountered), and to just breathe different air.

P.S. The "big city" is really just a bigger town than mine, but it's all relative as I'm a little country mouse these days. Heaven forbid I have to go to the real city down the road and get on our beast of an interstate for anything more than 2 exits worth of pavement! :)

I sang at the top of my lungs in the house and in the car, got the garden hose out to clean off a chair and ended up making rainbows and cooling off in the sun...bonus!, took clutter that had been boxed up to the thrift store, and shared my canary in the coal mine of life bookmarks with the local library and a few individuals. Yay, day!

I had a tough day and went out to watch the geese at the pond. It was fun to watch them climb over a little branch to go plunk in the pond and swim away. It was fun to watch them groom themselves and nap.

J and I cooked dinner together. Always a nice time when we do that. (And we haven't made anything bad yet)

I took a 40 minute nap when I got home from work. Those are fun in my book.

Took today to do absolutely nothing. Recovery from the weekend if you will. Weekends are so stressful and triggering and leave so much turmoil. So today I ordered some pizza (of course the very kind everyone else hates with extra pineapple lol) and caught up on various YouTube channels and now watching some junk TV-The Bachelorette. Tomorrow is back to the grind.

Soaked my feet in magnesium flakes and epsom salt while resting the Tibetan singing bowl, upside down, on my head and striking it with the mallet, while watching Our Planet on netflix...sound bath, meet foot bath, meet virtual reality nature....ahhhhh....how relaxing....but what a sight. lol

Yesterday was "fun" by playing a drinking game (though I restrained myself by nixing wine or hard liquor) … every time a certain political affiliation said "No one is above the law" - we drank. Yeah, predictably we got swacked. And then proceeded to come up with a list of unlawful actions recently perpetuated by said political affiliation. The list was long and I actually have a hang over. Don't intend on making it a habit... but the live stream commentary was funny as hell and it got funnier every time we heard it.

I laid on the floor with my oldest cat and played. Being on the floor is really painful for me, but I try to get down and play with her whenever I can. And this is maybe the most fun I ever have; I love my cats and spending time with them gives me peace and a sense that everything is going to be ok.
