What Did You Do For You Today???

I fixed myself up and went and ran my errands. I got us mocha frappes and got dinner for us tonight. Dancing with the stars will be on again tonight. I am relaxing and my husband is resting his eyes.

I took some items to a 'swishing' event (basically a swapping thing). I took 3 gorgeous dresses that my daughters had only worn once, a scarf, some jewellery and a couple of handbags. I came away with a scarf, some jewellery and a couple of handbags - but different ones to what I went with. A new look for no expense, my kind of price :tup:.

Today I bought myself a very cute pair of knee-high suede black and gray boots! I have really wanted a pair of boots for a while but I have a character flaw in which I feel AWFUL when I buy things for myself.

Tomorrow, I'm getting BACK to the exercise I've slacked off on for too long. Gym, here I come!

I stuck up for my emotional needs today and really came through for myself against someone I really loved who was competitive enough to try and walk all over me. By explaining my thoughts, hoping for the best, and exiting from the relationship to give space to both parties, I felt very mature and less hurt than if I kept bickering with my partner. This is a one-month relationship so I wasn't hesitant to walk away since he considerably added to my stress today and as you all know, those with ptsd have enough stress to deal with. there's no reason for partners to add to this, shouldn't they be there to make life easier? especially if they claim to understand?

I went to the hairdressers for a wash and cut.

Another nice day, so decided to go for a walk around the lake here. Couldn't believe how many geese were there. The moving Xmas displays and lights are already for them to be turned on next week.

Then went to get a carbon monoxide alarm because I didn't have one. Have noticed several homes around me getting new furnaces and since mine has been there since the house was built, it is quite old.

I'm knocking on wood that my furnace keeps working but that is how the guys next door discovered that they needed a new one. The carbon monoxide alarm went off even though the furnace was still working!

I had my nails done. It is our Benefit dinner for Cancer Survivors on Sat. So rewarding. The big fund raising is which table has the largest donations for cakes! I am a volunteer and supporter. Our table always wins as it is really competitive!

I took a hot shower. I went out for mocha frappes. I went out and bought ice cream and went to Jack in the box. I took a nap.

I took a nice shower, exfoliated, and put a little perfume on. I finished reading an article I started last night.

I relaxed and watched grown up TV instead of watching what my kids wanted to watch.

I went with hubby to the doctors.
Phoned the solicitor.
Phoned the dentist and got us both back in with appointment to explain what has been going on and how this has effected everything.
Done the shopping, twice. Forgot things the first time.

Now its me time while I wait for my daughter coming round.

I lit a fire in the fireplace early today instead of waiting for dusk to conserve the woodpile! It's nice and cozy in here!;)
