Sounds sort of silly but I put on my peridot, pink and fuschia sandals on (rag weave)... and enjoyed my pedicure. When I got uncomfortable I just looked down at my pretty girl feet.

I feel exhausted and ill still from the cold my son gave me.
I feel blessed to have so much entertained in the house (cable, tv, computer) when my ancestors didn't have anything!!!

This morning I have left the bed crumpled,not dried down the shower room,used the hairdryer in the living room,left the wet towel on the bed and tons of other such juvenile things that would usualy add to hubs stress load.

Shortly I'm going out shopping for ME.

Going to put a positive spin on this hopefuly short admission and use it as a respite break.

Keeping my mouth shut instead of trying to fix things. Hard when she is simply avoiding and does not want to think about it and I am a planner. I want to discuss a plan and potential pitfalls.

Guess we'll see what happens in 36 hours!

I got a much needed haircut today.

Today I have been into town to meet my daughter, her partner and my grandchildren, not for long though it was way too hot for all of us. She has just bought a freezer, and wanted to know where I shopped for fresh meat.

Best part was the look of surprise on the kids faces when they saw me waiting for them, as they had not been told. :D

I got home to find hubby at home, but asleep, dont think he sneaked off anywhere for a crafty drink either. :tup:

I allowed myself to go for a nap after a night of demons.

I didn't drink any alcohol yesterday or today. I have been running away from the unbelievable pain I feel inside for months and it's hurting me physically and psychologically. Even though I am terrified and not sleeping right now I am trying to give myself the benefit of the doubt and try to believe I can get through this hard time.

I am allowing myself time. I have done visualisation and grounding exercises. Shortly I will go and sit in the garden and read my book.

I bought myself a pretty pink, white, and gray plaid peacoat for winter. :tup: (Ok so that was yesterday, but Ive been stuck in the office all day today....lol)

When I was still working I hated when I was stuck in my office. I liked getting out and about which I had to do a lot though when I was writing the safety manuals. I had to go on location and talk to the users and get pics etc to put into the manuals.
