Wrote my to-do list for the week on the big dry erase board I've been neglecting for a while. Still using the smaller ones for more immediate stuff, though. Thought I'd see if I had my brain trained well enough yet to remember stuff without needing to see it in writing.....and....well...that didn't fare thee well.....so I'm back to using the simplest method I know of that works well for me.
If interested in how to make a DIY dry erase "board":
If you don't have dry erase boards (I find them at thrift shops often and especially love the ones that are also magnetic), you can make your own by finding a really cool framed picture in the size you'd like your board to be at a thrift shop (be sure the back is easily removable to change out the picture part), and then getting your favorite color of poster board (some places even have tie-dyed options!), preferably lightly colored so you'll be able to see your writing, and some dry erase markers.
Cut the poster board or paper of choice to fit into the frame, and once you put that in there, you can write on the glass with dry erase markers. It worked on plastic frames that I tried, too. You could use a piece of duct tape (also in cool designs and colors) to secure a marker on a string, or wrap the string around the frame before putting it all back together, or just keep markers close by, or get even more creative and attach a tray somehow to the frame. You can also buy the special erasers specifically for dry erase boards, or just use an old washcloth or something you already have to save money.
