What Did You Do For You Today???

I started working through Donald Meichenbaum's 101 Action steps in his book: Roadmap to Resilience: A guide for Military Trauma Victims and Their Families. He is one of the founders of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and is a nationally acclaimed specialist in PTSD. I actually got to attend a webinar with him in May, and one of my other forum friends is personally acquainted with him. I actually got asked by her to review his book and give her feedback to pass on to him. So... being the serious minded creature I am. I decided I can't properly review the book if I'm not willing to attempt the action steps. It is a long term commitment because I decided to attempt each of the 101 steps and not move on or skip around willy nilly. I intend to do them in the order they were written (with the presumption that he did it that way for a reason). Cross your fingers.

I sent my husband to go visit a friend.

He has been ill with some kind of strange pneumonia for the past two months and is finally feeling better. Somehow I was able to take care of him, be there for him through two hospitalizations, and even travel to see some specialists in a larger city.

He's still not cured, nor do they know what kind of pneumonia he has, but the doctor told him to start going out. Since he started feeling better, he's been a pain and treats me as if I'm cured because I could take care of him.
