Welcome to the forum. Based on what you write, it is possible that it's ptsd...but only a quallified mental health professional can make that call.

It could be PTSD. Is your fiance willing to see someone to get a diagnosis? Or to get help?

Manda,

As awful as all of this is too you, IF your boyfriend has PTSD, it's a lot worse for him....If he is still willing to talk to you, then encourage him to seek professional help... I wish you well....

Welcome! I agree with all that has been offered. Ask him to get professional help, either through the VA or otherwise. I know that the VA has 30 days to get him the first appointment when he calls in and requests one. Don't wait. Asking for help is what strong vets do, it is not a sign of weakness. He worked with a team in the war, and it's now time to get a team working with him to begin healing.
