What Do You Like To Do For An Evening Out?

I like live gigs of my favourite bands, medieval markets/festivals ...and sitting with some of my friends in a very tiny and smoky pub - I can forget time there. But I didn't dare to go there for quite some time.

Great thread idea, @KwanYingirl. I used to go out drinking with friends all the time, and now it bores me to death. I haven't found anything very good to replace it, except eating out somewhere quiet (sushi is my favorite!). I'm enjoying reading everyone's responses.

The last exciting evening adventure I had was with my partner, after having dinner at a nice italian restaurant, we took advantage of the record low tide and snuck under a very old bridge (made accessible by the low tide). We looked for buried artifacts, uncovered some cool old decorative tiles, and got very muddy in the process!

It's quite conflicting for me: I love to dress up but I don't care much for fancy food and I hate nightclubs. So it doesn't come to that very often, lol.

My favourite thing is actually to hang out with close friends and talk about all kinds of stuff. Especially when we're having a drink and the conversation becomes very open. Embarrassing subjects, funny stories, remeniscing... that's what I like best :)

We went to a casino and he tried to teach me to play Blackjack... but ended up watching me lose his money instead lol. Eventually he had to shoo me over to the slots where I couldn't hurt myself so he could win some of it back.

Nice topic. I have not been anywhere the last three years; just therapy and grocery store.

Under normal circumstances: evening/moonlight hikes, live concerts, camping out with campfire, sit with camping light & book in my own garden, talk with friends, if I still have them

Hmm, if my daughter is free, going out for dinner and live music (we have similar tastes in music and it is fairly eclectic).

A good tabletop RPG (@BlueOrange)

@FridayJones Urban Spelunking? Exploring the sewers? Where I grew up there were many old lead mines and natural caves we would explore, not to mention the old storage cellars cut out of the cliff sides.

Laying out gazing at the stars.

Midnight bicycle rides.

Fishing on the Mississippi.

LOL. The city I live in at present is actually built on top of the old city that burned down... So there are actually hundreds of semi-ruined buildings below the streets... They even have tours through parts of it... But more often it's old abandoned factories, churches, schools, subway lines, or other places that have been bricked over or boarded up, or plain old forgotten about. Mostly above ground. Started doing it as a kid, in manmade caves when we found out a lot of the hills were hollow (military bases in the Far East) from WWII. Still had equipment 50 years gone to rust. Hospital wards with glass IVs, and beds, and uniforms all torn to scraps. Munitions. Empty crates. All kinds of treasures :) And I love old buildings, rooftops, and places people just don't go. They walk by every day, but never go inside. Just need to be careful not to fall through the floor!

That is so cool! I'd love to explore the old WWII tunnels, not to mention the old city. I find rooftops a nice quite place for contemplating, that and cemeteries.

I like to meet my husband after work every Friday night with our little dog and sit at an outdoor cafe and have a coffee. Then have pizza, or bruschetta or a yummy pasta dish and talk about our week, then go home and watch TV or a movie.
Simple, but's that's all I need. I love to see people walking by and watch the sun go down.
