What Do You Think Is The Purpose Of Existence?

But this came up during my session this past week. Somehow during the conversation, I mentioned that I was trying to figure out "universal truths", and, in my opinion, this is the primary purpose of life for me. I truly need to know what is deeply true in the world. This search is what drives me.

So...what drives you? Is it taking care of people? Is it getting things done? Is it having fun? I'm curious...

I guess for me it is to know God more closely and to love Him and others in the best way I know how. He in turn helps me in my life and keeps me under His protective wing.

Creating. Smashing stupid structures and barriers. Freedom, expression of truths and genuine human selves. And finding ways to share that or inspire that freedom in others.

Possibly to investigate and if applicable, capture somehow the grandeur of the movement of the world, through expansion of understanding, and then to express it in a way that allows others to feel connected to / part of the universe and beautiful.

I don't know what is the purpose, I guess it depends on each person- their own purpose of their existence as they see it/ feel, I don't know for myself. I like reading others' answers though.

For me, it is to be at one with the creator and all of his/her creations. Being at peace and shining a little light for others to see by...to love deeply and well. That is the purpose of my existence as I see it today.

Money, fame, fortune, and so on mean nothing to me. I get the most joy out of making the world a better place for all. (Yes, ALL!) :-)

Money, power, appearances don't do it for me either. The money part is ok but fleeting, provided needs can be met. Though I could do a lot with it if there was more.

The closest thing I have to a (possible, who knows?) purpose is rather bizarely off the charts. (Though I'm in my right mind- technically.) Came to me a lonngggg time ago.

I think most universal truths are pretty grim at best, if I'm being completely realistic. It can easily go down the path of nihilism, as it is just that bad.

What is more important is YOUR truth. Which is whatever you choose for it to be. You can choose to be a light in the dark.

My own personal truth is that I am here to evolve, to grow and learn. And for the sake of it, in and of itself.
