What Have You Accomplished Lately?

I gave a presentation to about 100 or more folks yesterday about human trafficing in the Philippines and the unique problems that country faces because of it. I spoke about some of the things victims had experienced overseas and how a pastor of the United Methodist Church is using Facebook to combat the problems involved. She contacts the victims and she contacts others in the countries where they are being victimized and helps in their rescues. My presentation was well received and people told me I did a good job.

I know that God has given me the gift of public speaking. I have a voice that carries well and I was standing in a podium with a mike anyway, so it all worked out perfectly.

I've been volunteering and enjoying it. I'm also in the process of applying to a college course. Started seeing new T and managed to share some pretty heavy shit.

Cleaned out porch looking out into back yard...will add chairs and a little table so we can hang out there

I seem to play the role of peace-maker or mediator and so, I think of that as an accomplishment as it is not always easy work.

I went for a run.

I passed my shooting exercise.

I called the blood bank to ask if I'm allowed to donate after my trip.

I made an appointment with my doctor.

Spring clean up / socializing / eating / work when available / no physical self harm.

But I'm badly behind on school, not even speaking of fun, just don't have the focus / energy. Gettin' ma ass off bed every day and faking not having depression took about all of it. Medicating pain is shit too.

Gained a lot of weight since quitting smoking - actally lost some this week.

Problem solved and fixed it three times in a short period. Communicated to mister that his current state is a detriment. He agreed.

Follow up contact made for an estimate.
Call made to drop off car for inspection.
Dusted and vacuumed the living room. (still sneezing....lol)
Sorted through old magazines and shelved some more books.
Watered and deadheaded the plants/flowers.
Got back on the mini-trampoline for the first time since my fall from grace, flat on my face.
Spray painted a set of andirons for the hubby.
Solar powered productivity. Diggin' it and workin' it.
Solar powered nap likely soon to follow. :cool:
