We have a very large living room and we painted the one unbroken wall (unbroken by a window, door, etc.) a jade green color and the other three a neutral color. This was after a lot of hemming and hawing about which shade?, should we really do this?, and tons of trips to the paint store looking at color swatches.

I'm glad I did it! It's one of the first things I see when I walk in my house in the evenings.

Congrats, Nicolette of stepping out of your comfort zone. It tends to be tough, but it's usually well worth it.

Lisa

Well done Nic! I'm only just learning to add colour to my world.. lol and I still stick to natural colours.

I ate today. It's been almost two weeks since I haven't been able to get down an actual meal. I had chicken, potatoes, snap beans and some apple juice! Whoohoo!

I think it is very brave of y'all throwing in some color! Very big commitment. I did kids rooms bright but could never touch my walls in my room or public areas with it. I chickened out. But I always loved seeing it in another's home.

And that is awesome bec! You need some meat and potatoes ;)

Mine... I have been cooking. It is a big deal as I have not been able in a while without getting confused badly. Blue berry pancakes this morn, and fish, shrimp, and a salad with a ton of different veggies in it tonight (lol no room for lettuce). Cooked last night pasta and veggies with grilled chicken, and grilled cheese bugers the night before that. Can't wait to get back home and show my honey I can cook again, he will be thrilled. That poor guy needs a break. Well, he has one while I am gone, his mom has been cooking for my teen and him.

That is absolutely fantastic Bec. I hope it becomes more of a regular event.

What time is dinner veiled? I'm on my way over

Our technicians at work all have aluminum clipboards with a hinged cover. This morning one of the techs, not for the first time, stood next to me at a counter and slammed his metal clipboard down on the counter. I’ve come to the conclusion that he thinks it funny to see me jump. When this happened, I yelled out without thinking, ‘Would you PLEASE not do that!’ He laughed and asked why. I told him I didn’t like it and walked away.

Later, after I’d calmed down, I asked him to come to my office when he had a moment. When he came in I told him that I startle easily and while I knew he didn’t know this, could he please not slam him clipboard near me. He told me, ‘OK, not a problem’ and walked out.

As soon as he walked out I started shaking so badly that I could barely pick up my coffee cup. But I stood up for myself and did it limited fuss and muss. Really proud of myself this morning.

Good for you, Lisa! I find that it's not uncommon for people to be amused by my 'jumpiness,' but unless we make a point to them that it really is bothersome, they'll continue.

Matt and I went to Ryan's house for supper and a movie. We were there for about six? hours. It was crazy busy. Three of his kids were home (at some point) with friends, his two friends and their son were there, and another one of his friends stopped by.

Matt had the time of his life. I only panicked hard once and then was able to breathe through it and I enjoyed myself. Even watched an intense movie.

Must say, I'm not only very proud of myself but more so of my son. Grateful to no end to Ryan for helping get Matt out of the house and interacting with not only kids, but other adults too!

Got my butt outside today and cleared out an overgrown garden area in our yard inherited from the previous owner, sprayed Round-up all over it, and hope to turn it into my own flower & vegetable garden next year....I gave the depression a good fight today.

I finally stopped putting off going for my Pulmonary Test...UGH!!!! I was a little afraid that my breathing had gotten worse and the Dr would demand that I go on meds.....WHOOPIE!!!!! Same exact numbers as last time. No decrease....

Also decided to get brakes and new rotors on the front end of my car today. Yeah, the screeching sound of metal on metal was getting to me...LOL!!!!!! Hey, I had rear breaks......LOL!!!!

I took my son out fundraising. Afterwards, stood in the middle of a cul-de-sac for over an hr. and had a great conversation with a neighbor, whom I don't know well yet, but getting to know. Thouroughly enjoyed the convers.

I asserted myself tonight and was able to speak up clearly, and as I always strive to do, or else I won't even bother speaking, spoke up in deep honestly and in a support group.

I spent over another hr. having a dynamite conversation with friends I've recently met. A simply beautiful couple and two wonderfully genuine and good people.

I treated my children to pizza this afternoon at there favorite pizza shop, and for being so, so responsible this morning on their way out the door for their first full day of school.

I've been able and allowed to get outside of myself a lot more, and really enjoying this.

Hope

Hodge, good for giving the depression a run for its money. Know it all to well myself how much that can get you into a place where even going out in the garden is difficult.

Do you know what you want to plant for next year's garden?

I got outside and went for a walk for 45 minutes. I also made a meal from scratch instead of having, yet another, frozen veggie burger. It's been a rough patch so getting outside is difficult at this point, and it was really nice to see all the flowers, and chipmunks and such.
