Halloween ended up being just great. Very very few kids for some reason. A lot of costume less children taken to the churches across the street for services instead. Seemed kind of twilight zoney really. But I had only about 10 rounds to my door. I survived ;)

The BEST was the last little one. Maybe about age 5 and dressed like the black Spiderman. Since it was an hour between the last kid and him I had a ton of candy still. I dumped almost a whole giant mixing bowl of candy in his bag and filled it up. Little guy damn near peed himself! He was just stammering oh oh oh... He could not even speak, the oh oh was way better than any thank you! I swear I could not see his face through the mask but his body language made me just see his eyes had to be about to pop out of his head LMAO. I totally made a little boys day and that just really made mine. I am in such a feel good mood and have not felt like this in so long. I love little kids, they just crack me up.

Oh, Veiled, this cracked me up!!! How sweet! Kids here didn't come around till after 7 p.m. this year, so we missed them, since we went up to my MIL's nursing home.

Tonight I educated my dad some more on ptsd and also on post-traumatic stress. He has a friend who recently returned from serving a long stint as a medic in Germany treating injured U.S. soldiers. My dad's understandably concerned about his friend's emotional well-being, so I gave him a crash course on how imperative it is to get help as soon as possible after traumatic experiences in hopes of preventing ptsd. I also told my dad to feel free to tell his friend that I have ptsd, open lines of communication, and give him the URL to this forum. My dad really appreciated this and told me how proud he was of me and grateful for my help. All this was very good.

Thank you, Veiled. My dad said he and his friend can open up together somewhat about stuff like this. We joked about the blocks that can be caused by macho stuff, regardless of what gender you are. I admit I was macho, too, and maybe that contributed to my succumbing to this ptsd. My dad's a retired firefighter and has been through his share of horrors. His friend knows that and does open up to him. My dad is the soul of diplomacy, so I know he will handle this if anyone can. And if I can do anything to help prevent someone else from ending up with this, I'll feel gratified.

Selling liquor in a liquor store is not exactly a pretty job. But it makes me some money.
Tonight I had to question the morality of selling alcohol to a man that seemed a bit tipsy. Is it right? Is it wrong?
He bought two shooters of Jose Cuervo Tequila, paid $2.33 and left me a $20 tip.
I think that answers the morality of the issue.
He's welcome to buy from me anytime!

CJ,

Where I live...If you knowing sell, give or serve someone booze that is intoxicated, you can be fined, jailed or both. The bar, or store can lose it's license and or pay a fine also. So I do hope that when he left he didn't get behind the wheel of a car and hurt himself or someone else. If he did....That $20....Might just get you 20. Let's hope not!!!!

heh

I did the dishes

And vaccumed the lounge . . . .

and I ate food. Thats a pretty fecking good day for me.

I did not cuss really loud when I stepped on lil' one's wooden blocks barefooted for the second time. And that smarts!

I took a 2 1/2 hr. nap til 1pm. today, then once home relaxed and really enjoyed helping my kids with there homework.

I took a great shower and such, and went out to a meeting with a couple of friends. Was able to relax and enjoy the meeting and without getting triggered.

Attempted to watch a show with my husb. late tonight, but he fell asleep. Watched Law & Order SUV, for the first time in over a yr.

Rescued two horses! Went to pick up our rescue horse today. However. There were 2 needy horses, couldn't decide which one to take. My grandson was with me and said Grandad can't we have both horses. So. Brought home both. The wife is not too pleased but the kids sure are. ;-)

Jim.
