No obligations to tend to on a snowy day. I spent over 13 years being an "essential" state employee where I had to show up regardless of weather conditions, and often just pack my bags and plan to move in for a while when it was really bad. I managed to make it as fun as possible for the students, but that was a source of so much seasonal anxiety back in the day that it became crippling for a while. What a relief. My heart and sincere gratitude goes out to all who still have to, or choose to, venture out in it to help care for and protect others. May everyone arrive and return safely.
