What Made You Happy Today?

That my 15 year old son gets excited when he has to do a family tree for an assignment. He has all the information, so it makes him happy.

That my cold may be getting better. According to my husband it is on the downswing, yesterday being the worst day, to now it should just be getting better. Maybe he just wanted to plant the seed...I don't mind. Anything to feel better.

Okay, my husband was wrong about the cold. That's okay, I'll live, as my grandpa would say. Hope that doesn't trigger anyone, he never meant it with evil intent. At least I never took it that way from him.

What made me happy was the free samples to help with my med costs. Every little bit helps. Plus, my med nurse is usually cheery and joked around with me a little about my cold. Everything was lighthearted. Just where I needed it to be.

Happy that my husband is going to make me a homemade veggie pizza...which means no onions. If you ever notice, veggie pizza's almost always have onions, and I can't have them. Make me ill and cramped. So I am very happy. Now if I can just taste this correctly, as I seem to be having a difficulty with my taste buds.

Simplicity. In other words, the little things. Like this forum, and this thread...people listing all of the small things that brighten their lives...and the fact that I get to share them thereby...and that somehow...my own world gets a little brighter, as a result...like a room being lit by hundreds of little points of light. Other than the sun...I'm not sure there are any really beautiful big lights. But a multitude of small ones is almost always transfixing. And misery. Misery makes me happy, because I get to wallow in it. Yes, ridiculous. But there you go. At least I realize it.
