What Made You Happy Today?

Hearing from my son today that my precious 13 yr old granddaughter, got to go on stage and sing with her favorite singer this past weekend.... And hearing how happy my son is now that he is with her all the time now..... Long time in coming, this happiness for my son.... he is doing so great... very proud of him and told him so, tho he gets uncomfortable, I could still hear the smile in his voice.

It reminded me I still have a heart & all the other flat affect stuff is probably as much a liar as the sadness is.

Today I treated myself, I bought a new leather reclining chair in EBay, at a really good price! I felt a bit guilty about it, but when my sister face timed me, she was pleased for me, and reassured me about buying it.

It looks really comfortable, and all the reviews I read about it were very positive. It can swivel, rock and has a heated seat with built in massage areas, it will my back the world of good, well I think it will.

I'm really looking forward to it arriving now, ......but still have that slight guilty feeling? But I'm happy about it!

@Gadgie that is great! You deserve it. I did something similar the other day.

What made me happy today is I received my purchase from Amazon of a used Nook HD+ 9 to replace my slow Nexus 7 2012. It arrived exactly as described, which is in fairly new condition. No marks and it seems to work great! Setting it up. I was nervous after I bought it that I made a mistake, or that it would not be as described. I got a better deal on it than I would of on Amazon. It is bigger than my Nexus so I am getting use to that. But I am very, very happy that I bought it! Also, to ease my guilt of purchase, I sold my Nexus on Ebay! That should cover at least some of the cost! Yippee! :):joyful:

I try for at least one act of kindness every day. Today I was given the opportunity to commit a somewhat more significant kind act, and that made me feel good.

Thanks for your supportive posts folks, much appreciated. I'm still a bit guilty about buying it, but I'm looking forward to it arriving, at the same time.

I will have to stay in for the next couple of days, to make sure I'm in when it arrives. Since I haven't managed to sell my old one, I've arranged for it to be collected and donated to the Forces Charity shop, they are coming tomorrow to pick it up.
