What Makes You Angry Today?

I didn`t realy want to post here, because I get the feeling I am a realy Punchy prick, who spoils for a fight far to often. And then today I thought, we yeah you are, but nowhere near as much as you used to be.

And seeing as a few are in college and having problems with some idiots, I decided to post my time in college

2003 I was in College for 2 and a half years, Had left the Army in `95 and need to get my Qualifications in German, and was therefore being taught to suck eggs for 2,5 years.

I was on my bike 24/7 365 days in the year. Got of at collage and am having a brew in one of the breaks. Stood alone in one corner this little balb headed kid jack boots and braces walks up to me "Hey, you can`t stand here"

He`s like 19 if at all, and I am 32. So I look at him "What?"

"You can`t stand here, this is our corner"
"What?"
"You can`t stand here, this is the Nationals Only Zone"
I had understood from the begining what he was on about, I just couldn`t be assed to entertain him. So I show him the Bike Vest I am wearing. Brit Desert Jacket, cut down to a vest, All my Rank, Course Insignia, (Daggar Wings, Swords, Flags) Name plate, and on the back a big Union Flag and St George.

I turned half round and said "You see that" pointing at the Brit Flag "That mean we are STILL an OCCUPYING POWER now F*ck off" just as 2 of his mates walk out to us.

They just looked so dumb founded, all the other kids on the yard burst out laughing, and all 3 of the little NAZI pricks disapeared very quickly.

I am all for Patriotism, and being proud of being whatever, but anything right wing realy grips my goat.

What makes me angry today? Another day goes by and nothing happens at the VA. No movement on my case.

Hubby buying a puppy he's not here to f*cking house train, cant really be angry at the dog so mad at him instead. Still, shall have her out to work next year so she will earn her keep then. Also hate pricks that drive at 60 through the posted 30mph limit outside my house, yes the limit may be changing in 100m but it isnt 60 yet mate and we have kids living here.

I know that I haven't been waitin' as long as you have but I'm in the same boat. Just waitin'. Every day that I go to the mail box and there's nothing I get pissed, frustrated and disappointed all in about a minute. I'm real bad at waitin', I like to make things happen or at least put a boot up a behind to get it there. Can't do anything. It just sucks.

Today I am most angry by traffic. You guys angry at college are my heroes....I am scared to death of starting college next year!

I think traffic pisses us all off, but, if there was another veteran driving behind us, they would probably be cursing at the way we drive.

As for college, I really don't know how you can do it, then again, I am getting a bit old for college.

The cause of the anger was all about unreasonable expectations on my part. Two years ago the normal time line was some where less than six months, 90 to 120 days was what the VA said. Now they tell me it is some where around one and a half to two years to get the same thing done. If they want something from me like $30.00 worth of tax they decide is due them, they are on my ass in a matter of days.

Time has a different meaning when you get older. For me there was no difference from 26 years old to say 28 years old. Sixty five to sixty seven is a very different matter.

Five thousand vets a year die before their claims are settled. Everyone should be angry about that fact. The problem is that getting angry does not do shit to change anything. And people wonder why vets take drugs and get drunk! What.... we just won the lotto, graduated from MIT, and got a divorce from Paris Hilton??

I am getting a bit old for college.

You're never too old. I went back at age 50 to get an IT degree. You've just gotta' be motivated. Listen if you can fight the beast for a lifetime, a couple years of college is a breeze by comparison.

Even with the my problems with anxiety I'd still love to go back now just to keep learning.

angry at my boss who tried to give me low marks on attendance in my eval today... I sat there and when she said it... (you went to the doctor a lot... I have to mark you low...) I told her "every day I took off was an appt to the VA... I am going to the VA because YOU told me to go to the desert... YOU told me to go to Lebanon, to the Kurdish lands... etc.. you called us heroes for it, toasted us down at the bar...... now you wanna mark me down for getting the care I need to recover from it... what f*cking hypocrisy" lol... it felt good... all these wanna be patriotic bastards...

I told her I choose my fights wisely... and this one was not one I wanted to start... but ya.. I am keeping copies etc... of everything.. and wow... I am getting angrier typing this..

Actually I am thinking I do wanna fight this one.. this is a fight for us..

4 yrs ago the school district cancelled Memorial Dau holiday for us.. ends up our congressman (former Marine) came down and asked what was up.. the next year was a lavish veterans day celebration with a full meal for us all etc... professing their appreciation etc... some cheap plastic medals etc... what a farce... I dunno.. coming out of a slump... but ya... lots of opening up on stuff like this... see the shrink on Monday god help her...
