Sometimes, I fail to get up out of bed because it is safer and more comfy in bed. I stay there then get angry with myself for doing nothing. So recently, to get up and get something accomplished I:
A) make a list of things that have to get done that day...
B) pick 2- the top 2 priorities
C) use my Coin Toss app- and mentally choose one option ( something that needs doing) for heads and a more or less favorable option for tails.
D) click the Coin Flip app on my phone
E) decision made-and my actions usually follow quickly.
F) done with the first thing-keep moving forward and do the second.
This sounds really silly but I get more things done using this strategy when I’m in a stuck or ambivalent place.
What strategies do you use to get up and going- to have accomplished something when some part of you is not really feeling motivated to get up and be productive?
