It never ceases to amaze me how insensitive people can be. Sometimes I think it's a way to feel superior, like, "all you have to do is think these three words and they are so". More evidence for my file confirming that we humans as a species just ain't that damned smart!

Truth be told, a few months before my "introduction" to PTSD, I couldn't fathom why in the world a girl I know was deathly afraid of balloons...and another that I used to work with would wear long-sleeved sweaters and coats in the summer.
