I. So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”Gandalf

II. What's important is that you choose life... and then live. Naomi Hunter

III. When we hit our lowest point, we are open for the greatest change. Aang

IV. We're all stories in the end. Make it a good one, eh. The 11th Doctor

V. I'll always be here. But this is when we talked. And now even that has come to an end. There is something I didn't get to say to you. I just wanted to say... Hello. Hello Doctor. It is so very very nice to meet you. Idris

VI. Most ironic of all, was the last gift that Raziel had given me. More powerful than the sword that now held his soul, more acute even than the vision that his sacrifice had accorded me. The first, bitter taste of that terrible illusion: hope. Kain

VII. It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who, like you, have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well. Albus Dumbledore

VIII. The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of all true art and science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed. It was the experience of mystery - even if mixed with fear - that engendered religion. A knowledge of the existence of something we cannot penetrate, our perceptions of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty, which only in their most primitive forms are accessible to our minds - it is this knowledge and this emotion that constitute true religiosity; in this sense, and, and in this alone, I am a deeply religious man. Albert Einstein

IX. Don't worry, all is well. All is so perfectly, damnably well. Robert Frobisher

X. I love this. This is what I life for. I am absolutely crazy about it. Dante

(Im gonna print it out. Im lazy.)

I have something like that. :) It's not a list but a little tin can with 10 pieces of paper I change from time to time. My tin can includes

Bubble bath with book and a beverage of my choice
Cooking salmon pasta or another current favorite meal
Watching a good movie (I'm a film enthusiast)
Smoking weed (my therapist slightly disagreed on that one, lol)
Going for a walk with the dog
Listening to uplifting music
Go to the thermal spa
Hot chocolate
Buy myself a little something I don’t need but want
Go to the library

I like practical things like that. My therapist gave me several little pebble stones she collected and when I'm depressed I put them in my left pocket. Whenever something good happens throughout the day I put one of them in my right pocket. That can be anything: a smile from a stranger, good news, something my dog did or a call from a friend. At the end of the day I put them out of my pocket and recollect why they are there.

I have been developing this technique for my own use since I wrote the thread, I am taking out the advise for alcohol consumption. I used to be a heavy drinker and this tech is meant to be a safe grounding. This tech is meant to be a safety net back to childhodd. As a child would not drink alcohol I have decided to take that part out and will not be advising any other members to include alcohol on their top ten list.
