Why did you pick your screen name?

I had an awesome screen name which I totally identified with. It was also my FB name. Felt like me.

Then I went and reported my trauma junk to the police. And needed to move sideways with my identity here to get a bit more cyber distance between my police report and my trauma diary:shifty:

And then, of course, FB shut down my account and refused to reopen it unless I gave them my real name (bastards):sour:

Still moving sideways. Not forwards, not backwards. But at least I’m going somewhere dammit.

It's a poetic name that I used for PTSD and my deep dark depression. I came up with it when I started to become open about my PTSD and Depression. Blue is another word for sad. Weeping is another word for crying. Rose simply because I love flowers and roses and I always look at flowers and notice how delicate and beautiful they are. Which they are.

I write a lot of poetry, so my name comes from one of my haikus

I love birds, and I also love the symbolism associated with birds.

During my abuse, I often thought of myself as a caged bird.
I was also prevented from having a voice.

Bellbirds fly free all throughout New Zealand.
And I love their song: it is beautiful, and my favourite birdsong.

Finding this forum about 3 months after I left my abusive relationship, I thought: I'd like to be a bellbird.

I like the name Deanna. It's a name in the Diana category. It means devine. I think of Princess Diana when i think of the word- Diana , Deanna, Dena, Diane. The name has nothing to do with PTSD. And I LOVE my fur baby! ? long! She's a rescue.View attachment 56035

Mine came from the book by Ray Bradbury. I read it way back in the 70s. The name always stuck with me.
