Sending warm wishes and very sorry to read about your marriage. You have given it your utmost within reason and yeah changing ourselves to suit a partner, in the longer term isn't necessarily an assurance that the underlying marital issues would be resolved anyways.

Thank you for your support. I am thankful that she will not fight me about our animals. When she told me that she was thinking of taking 2 of them (we have four all together) I jumped out of my skin. I told her that she will not be taking any of them. They are staying together and with me.

When she came into the house to get more of her stuff, none of the animals where even concerned with her. They all came running to me, like they always do when I come home.

I cant have children. I had a hysterectomy at a very young age due to illness and abuse. My animals are my children.

Kennedy (Mainecoon very spoiled princess), Lincoln (Tex black and white longhair cat very playful and full of life), McKinley (all gray cat that is the father figure that is also very playful), Madison ( dachshund/terrier mix that has a condition called megaesophagus.... her throat is paralyzed so her food has to soak to be mushy then needs to sit up for 45 minutes after each meal)

They all love each other and get along so well. My heart breaks for families that have to face this with young children.

It just occurred to me that I can shut the TV off, listen to the waterfall of the cat's water bowl and sit here in quiet.

Made the mistake of turning everyrhing off one day while I was working in the kitchen. When she came home she loud, abrupt and belittling. I never shut the damn thing off since then.

I went to the library today for the first time over a year. She had left my account with a large amount of fees. I explained to the librarian what my wife has left me with.

I am finding out that there are out standing balances on everything. She left and now refuses to help me. Everything is being shut off. She wouldn't even give me $75 so they don't shut off my electric on Monday. I have to call them and offer them some blood.

Thankfully the librarian took what I had for cash in my wallet and weived the fines. I grabbed a book of an author that will be at the library Monday evening. I am going and reading one of his books now.

Just a weird question. I live in a small town and a small library. This is the first book signing I am going to be at. It starts at 630pm.

I am trying to improve on a bake good recipe and will be making it tomorrow. I want to share my baking as much as I can because I have a life goal in mind that includes an end goal of a non-profit bakery for special needs and disability peoples.

Would it be weird to bring Whoopie Pies to a small town book signing?

If you are wondering how to really know if it's ok, just give the librarian a call (assuming the library organized it).

Geeze. Friday has a good idea for you on your other thread (the knee one). I am really sad that things have been sabotaged (the financial things) in that way. Sending prayers for you and glad a kind librarian waived the rest of the fees.

I just spoke with my cousin that is in family law. We are meeting Thursday to serve my wife the divorce papers and for me to remain on her medical insurance.

Thank you for your all your help and support. I feel as though I am finally on the right track in life.

I'm so glad you have your animals there and your cousin. Sounds like a good family to me.

I hope you are freed and can move on and process the emotions. Do you have a good therapist to talk to about what's going on?

Your spouse sounds emotionally controlling and abusive, like she has her own PTSD but not a kind enough heart to quell the anger.

Thank you @Muse. I do have a therapist and I have been able to reconnect with a sister that is like a twin to me. We just get each other. My ex hates my family and would tell me all types of negative things about the person I wanted to visit.

She is not close to her family. Her mother is verbally abusive and she always put her son above my ex. There is a huge jealous issue with her younger brother. There is a 10 year gap between them.

My landlord just called.

My ex is off my lease and they changed the due date on my rent so I am no longer behind and being charged late fees.
