Windows 7 Anyone?

The only issue that I have found so far with Windows 7.....It's the Email program.....There isn't one. You can download Windows Live Essential, but it sucks, IMO!!!!! I tried Incredimail, but it wasn't functioning, so I had to delete it, and now I am using Thunderbird. Not happy with it so far.

I don't know why they just didn't leave in the one that they had for Vista. Why do they always screw up a good thing???? Just my rant for the day!!!!

I also use Gmail. I do use MS Outlook for a calendar, contacts, and task list. It has an email component built in but I have that turned off. It just annoys me because gmail organizes things far better than any email program I've ever used.

Yep, gmail man myself. I have used that for years now, as it has the absolute best spam filtering off any email client I have ever used. I stopped using thunderbird for gmail because I was getting sick of the thousand or so spam received daily.

I also have a gmail account, I just hate changing my email address with all of my contacts, newsletters, ect.....So for now, I will try out Thunderbird....

Isn't there a way you can get all your emails forwarded to one specific email?

You can do that with any email account. If you use gmail for example, you can use that to collect all your pop email accounts.

Now that you have had your new Windows 7 software for a couple of weeks' time, how do you feel about it? Any problems? Are you pleased?

I am know I am very pleased with it. So fast compared to XP or Vista... my god they have done some serious behind the scenes work in getting the OS to run fast and stable.

Only problem with a new OS, is that nobody supports it as yet and the majority of software is still based on Vista as a result.

That's good to hear, Anthony. Santa has agreed to gt me a netbook this year, and I am watching the sales for "Black Friday", which is the end of November, (the day after Thanksgiving) when the entire country is out in their cars trying to get the last parking space. I think its safe, thanks to people like you who dove in quickly, to go ahead and get Win 7.

I bought Anthony's online .....there was no way I was going near the crazed geeks out there lining up. Admittedly we had to wait two extra days but I wasn't going to line up for it.
