I notice that when I'm helping build the deck outside I don't think about my problems. I do however know it's medication time. I get cold sweats when I don't have gabapentin and klonopin in my system. It's like my body just knows when it need it lol. Ok, so I notice that if I work I can lay all my problems aside this however I need the medication to be able to do that.



My pure o OCD will not let me work if it's flaring up. Which it was when I had really no antidepressant in my system. I always wished for a day I would be med free but I doubt that will happen.



So anyone else here find that work helps a lot of stress. Even tho it's stressful to do it relieves stress?
 
I take gabapentin, also known as neurotin. Its an anti-seizure medication given to me off label for neruopathy. Its not a narcotic and not addicting.

Klonopin is a benzo and addictive if you take it like this and not only as needed so the 'cold sweets' could be benzo withdrawl. I take a benzo but not physically dependant so i dont know how 'opioid like' the withdrawls are but id challege you to start cutting back on it as per your Dr to ween your body off of the physical dependance.

As for the asked question, work absolutly takes my mind off of most everything. My anxiety is still there but most think are numbed away.

Other things that can help: coloring books (more detailed the better), puzzles and/or puzzle games, word games. Basically anything that is a "brain grabber" or "attention getter" is a good distraction.
 
@EveHarrington if its a mistake like that and not just spelling, i'll usually leave it and do ETA: and then the correction. Thats just me but to me, especially for dyslexics like myself, reading is already confusing, i do that to make it less confusing.

To each his own. Sorry, didnt mean to take the thread off topic. Back to work work work (i so wish, ive been off of work for 10 days and have 7 more to go...)
