Oh I am always for Brazil but I knew deep down that this wasn't the team to do it. Problems...gosh, where to start? The selection itself...They should have had a few more experienced players on the roster...even if they wouldn't play much...just having them around this young and fairly inexperienced team would've helped. Then there was the massive pressure...Every host copuntry faces it but about 100X more in Brazil...and they were constantly (the media etc) bringing up 1950 etc. That couldn't have been easy. Then they lost t heir best player, in adition tothe captain (plus another key defensive player was out - Dani Alves)...For whatever reasons, they did not look like Brazil...in fact, I'm surprised they even made it to the semis. In the Germany game...they fell apart as soon as they conceded that first early goal and we all know what happened after that...it wasn't so much that Germany is that great (though as always, they are a very strong team, with less talent than probably 90% of the teams in the tournament but they play together....they're a machine and at the end of the day they make you pay for your mistakes)...Having said all that, I am rooting for Argentina to win tomorrow. I love Messi and havenever been a fan of German football though I do respect it.
