I use it a couple of ways but never on my skin directly unless it is diluted properly.
It is though an antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal.
I agree Tea Tree oil is a great product and it's got lots of beneficial properties and applications but don't agree with rubbing it under your nose, neat. ugh.. What do you dilute it with? I've only ever used it full strength.
When I was in the tropics I put it on my toenails morning and night. I'm sure that's why I didn't have tropic toenails. ugh...
I think some sort of vapour rub would be safer than rubbing tea tree oil under your nose anyway.
Regarding toilet paper. There is no Australian shortage. We make it here in factories. There are millions of rolls waiting to be dispatched just as fast as the trucks can load. We've created our own problem by panic buying it. Eventually the shops will catch up. LOL We don't have to resort to rummaging the forest floors.
Indonesia is experiencing panic buying for spices and herbs. A rumour circulated that certain products in that area can kill off the virus. lol..
A shipment of hand sanitizer destined for China was stopped by customs a few days ago. Somebody had bought several thousand bottles of it, the little ones, packed it all together and tried to pass it off as luggage. The airline was unhappy because there is alcohol in hand sanitizer and it needs to be packed appropriately for planes. It wasn't. So that would have been several supermarkets, at least, cleaned out of their hand sanitizer.
The psychology behind panic buying is really very interesting. I'm sure someone here will have a better explanation than I have but it seems to be relatively simple? Humans mimic each other. Bit like herds on the African savanna. One bird, zebra or gazelle spooks and a stampede begins? FOMO? or being caught out? Survival? But how that equates to toilet paper is interesting.
I get uneasy when I go to the grocery store and shelves are bare but I'm consciously resisting the temptation to buy anything apart from normal things and in normal amounts. But I also know that I've got a small supply of food & stuff because if I have a bad
day, week, month with
ptsd I cannot go to the stores.
Oh and I'm now growing my own Parsley. lol.
