Our state keeps opening up with more things being allowed starting next week. One of the things are pools. Something I've been looking forward to for 2 months. Until I read the regulations/restrictions.
You have to make a reservation at least 24h in advance. No same-day reservations, no walk-ins. You have to call a number to do so. Only one reservation per person (i.e. I couldn't reserve for both myself and my husband and chances are we wouldn't get the same times).
Slots are for 45 min.
Any time not in the water, you have to wear a mask.
Changing rooms (ok, somewhat reasonable), restrooms and showers remain closed. You have to shower outside (I don't even recall that our particular pool does have outdoor showers)
You have to show up dressed in your swimsuit and once your 45 mins are up, leave the property immediately (yep, fully soaking wet).
Holy f*cking banana. Those are outdoor pools. I understand and support the point of precautions but ... we've locally had 0-1 new cases for weeks and 0-3 new cases per day statewide, with long streaks with no cases...
Time to revisit that fear of sharks, I guess...
