could have another thread about the sorry condition the States is in. I am sometimes more concerned by the innate selfishness of the people of States
Canada is much the same, we just have a fraction of the population so it's not as apparent here, for the most part.
know @Innordinate, you did not deserve me to lash out like that
i didnt consider it a lash out
you were venting. obviously (though not obvious to me then)
but yeh.... not worried about it, thanks tho and i'm sorry for the losses you have from covid
i get why you'd be tired
i think a lot of people are tired for the same reasons
and i also was not trying to offend or minimize what you were saying
am ALWAYS this pissed off at people dragging their illnesses out in public
no worries and good to know
i think covid..... i dunno....
ive never thought about being sick out in public before, mostly cuz i didnt really have that luxury until recently and i also dont go out much anyways, even when im not sick
covid hasnt changed much for me either
cuz, i dont really care if i live, so far, it doesnt seem to effect kids too much and i isolated as much as possible before covid was a thing anyways....
like i said, i dont support the idiots. some of the conspiracy theories are... even ridiculous for conspiracy theories.... and im sure i havent heard half of them...
definitely some crazy assholes out there
but i also dont think most of the people who dont want the vaccine are bad/evil/cowardice/selfish etc.
i think they're confused, unsure and feel immense societal pressure they dont know what to do with so they spout whatever random piece of info they've seen/heard and probably hope the whole conversation would just go away
especially if they're also a parent
govt responses dont help
it's pretty obvious govt's have no f*cking idea what to do or how to do it, they're clearly playing a "wait and see" "lets try this and see how it goes" game while trying to pretend they have some control, and that probably scares a lot of people, especially people who, up until now, have lived in a privileged little bubble
rome before the bubble burst
