when you have sudden flashbacks of physical memories...ie; pain in your body, while you're out in public.....so you feel the need to run and hide.

When you are triggered and past events kick off an endless array of: anger, nightmares, feeling sick to your stomach, tears that won't stop.

And you feel like you're losing it and don't know what to do.

@Heather - is there any way to make any of it lesser? All at once probably won't go, so one by one emotion, slowly changing the volume till they quieten up and things become manageable again?

@Cashew Any suggestions on how to do that? Would be greatly appreciated.

@Heather, knowing which emotion (or about pair, max, three are already too many complications) are you struggling with the most at the moment for starters, & what all is it setting off, recognizing what all does one thing have teeth in?

@Cashew Anger is the worst. Then I burst into tears. Am seeing APRN tomorrow - don't know if she can help. Also starting trauma group, maybe that'll help.

@Heather, what makes you feel, by all your being, your anger is an agent of change? That you not only can, but DO, have effect on the world around you?

@Cashew only if anger is used to fuel positive actions. Not for acting out of control. The latter is what is happening. Sad to say.
