Your Pet Did What!?!

This morning my little dog brought a bone to me and kept dropping it at my feet over and over again. I realized she was asking to have a marrow bone out of the freezer (which I have started doing with my 2 dogs the past few days to help clean their teeth). My dogs shock me with their ability to communicate with me! They really are amazing creatures.

I think we should have a thread, the things we do for our pets! Right now I really, really, have to pee, but I don't want to get up and disturb my Buddy. She's eating her breakfast and she'll get instantly distracted if I get up and move. Oh why oh why did I drink so much coffee!?:coffee::laugh: Oh,man, I can't start laughing!
'Double-Like'!!! :D He he!

Well, since my little finch took all the pooped-on cotton ball pieces out of his nest(and I was so proud of him for cleaning his "room"!) last time, I thought he would do it again. But he didn't! He just flipped over all the soiled pieces so his nest "looked" perfectly clean! I guess that's akin to humans sweeping things under the rug or hiding dirty laundry in the closet! :D He he!

P.S. I gave him fresh cotton balls! His Christmas present is coming in the mail today! I got him athletic rings!

My boy Ragdoll is snuggled in with me (so cuddly)the poor boys fluff on his tail caught fire on a scented candle, my girl Ragdoll is trying to get attention by knocking things of the unit, she does this, moggy is hiding again, dog is also hiding, yup once again, she peed on the floor, I would possibly be angrier with her if I had carpets :), I am thinking of treating myself to indoor bunny rabbit...next year! More fluff. Everyone should have a fluffy animal or 3 imo!

I agree, even if the fluff is feathers like my little birdy has! :D Thank you for sharing the cute antics of your animals! I am so excited for you that you are going to get an indoor bunny next year!

I gave my little finch his early Christmas present today: athletic rings. It's a bright and pretty big toy length-wise so I was going to gently introduce him to it so he wouldn't be scared. (I was going to hang it on the outside of the cage so he could get used to it.) But as soon as I showed it to him, his little beak went towards it! So I put it right in the cage and he loves it!!! :)

**P.S. I've never been able to keep pets for long. (I can't even tell you how many pets I've bought and then gave away!!!!) But I wanted a bird so bad!!!! Everyone in my apartment complex who has a pet loves their pet so much and I wanted something of my own to love! I wanted some companionship!

I talked to someone who gives me good advice and she told me that I'm doing better now, and not in the same place that I used to be. She told me that she thought getting a pet would be so good for me. So I got my little birdy. It was so difficult at first to keep him because of my issues! I tried to give him away many times, but God wouldn't let any of those plans succeed! (I guess He had faith in me that I could do this too!)

So I stuck with keeping my birdy and I overcame my issues about keeping a pet and now he is the joy of my life!!!

I ordered two cheap rain jackets for my girls, XXL from China. Apparently, they have a different concept of XXL because even though I thought I checked the measurements, the jackets would fit on their heads only. I don't feel like shipping them back to get my money back since it would cost too much. So, I am gifting these jackets, 15 inch neck, 16 in length, and 18 inches around the chest to anyone who wants them. I will ship them to you if you want to PM me your address. I can only afford to ship to the US. I know this would take trust on all our parts, but I have 2 jackets that will just go to goodwill, and I know a lot of folks are on fixed income here. Oh, and they are white with small pink and black skulls with a pink lining.

That is so kind of you!!! It's a wonderful gift! :) I sure hope someone takes you up on the offer! The jackets sound so cute!!!:joyful:

P.S. You sure are right about a lot of folks being on a fixed income! Like me!:D

I will look outside in my backyard on occasion and see this German Shephard dog. The only thing is that I don't own a dog!

This dog belongs to the neighbors two houses down, but he wants to visit the dog on the other side of me, so he jumps the fences to get closer!

It is amazing when I look outside, especially now with snow on the ground, and how he is running around in it. I opened my patio door and I came very close to having a new pet!

When he gets bored, he will literally, stand up straight, and then put his paws into the chain-link fence we all have and pull himself over the fence. I have seen him do it numerous times now. It is amazing to watch and the determination that he shows in climbing these fences from yard to yard!

My neighbor lady told me to call the Humane Society, as she already has. I would rather just watch him climb the fence to get back where he belongs!

I'm glad you don't call. He's just being a dog and, as long as he doesn't hurt anyone or tear up your yards, what is the harm. Some dogs are amazing with the fences they can climb.

I would only call the humane society if the animals were being abused. However, for something like what you are experiencing, and only if it bothered me, I would talk to the neighbor direct. I have ill feelings for my neighbors because of their not talking to me directly(long story).
