Research John From Hong Kong

Hi all, I'm John from WA, but living in Hong Kong these past 19 years. I'm a Vietnam veteran ex Charlie Coy 7RAR 67/68 tour. I'm writing a book. It started as my own story, but I'm wondering if there are others who might like to see their stories published alongside mine. Can be anonymous with pseudonym or your name as contributor with me. You can let me know.

Welcome, @JohnHK - I've moved this post over to a new thread in the Studies and Research forum, since you're primarily posting about gathering research.

I'd suggest that you post more in the introduction forum to share about yourself, your story, perhaps what got you into writing the book.

Anyone who would like to respond to this 'call for stories' can do so via PM; you can ask questions in this thread.

Hi, you were warned in relation to publishing your books name, as that is self promotion which is against MyPTSD policy. You can request stories and such that you are doing, but you can not self promote or advertise anything upon MyPTSD. I hope that answers your questions about why you were warned.

It's OK, @JohnHK - I'll explain.

I moved your request for stories here, because the 'studies and research' area is the best place to put any posts looking for any kind of information from sufferers - so, although your book is planned to focus on sufferer's stories, this area is the best place for me to put your request.

The Introductions area is just that - the area where people who are new to the site can say hello, and a bit about who they are. If you read through threads in there, you'll get the idea.

If you have any other questions on how to use the forum, please direct them to the Help Desk (you'll see a link for it at the bottom of my post).
