A crap psychologist really f*cked up my attachment unfortunately. I think I was beginning to trust her, then she terminated me. It hurt like hell. I'm back in therapy with someone new, and noticing just how much damage was done by the previous one. I felt so abandoned. Now I worry this one will abandon me too. What a disaster

I went through this. A crap counsellor terminated with me suddenly by email. Then I got this psychologist. He is ending with me although he admits it is really bad timing for me but his partner is older than him and she wants him to retire. I hurt like hell.

I'm so sorry it happened to you too :( I really needed this forum back then but I didn't find it until nine months later. In a way, it's helpful to know you're not the only one it's happened to. Still hurts though

The problem being that therapy always has to end eventually. That's where I hit difficulties.
but surely if the therapist is good at attachment problems, they will get how to heal the attachment problems so that therapy can end because you are now not feeling so bad.

That's where I hit difficulties.

Is it possible to keep focusing on what the relationship was, and looking at it deeper while moving away from it?
Or, form a positive internalization of everything productive in those attachments, that you could carry with yourself and review as necessary?
