So let's say I am a carpenter and I need 2 hammers. I go into the local hardware store to get my hammers. There are 2 in stock. Same hammer, same weight, same type, the only difference is the color of the handles. I buy them both, one black handled one and one white handled one. Over the course of 2 weeks time, I use both hammers equally. I pay no attention to the color of the handle. They both have the same specifications, so what damn difference does it make.
I played hookie from church week before last and went fishing. And I had a freaking ball. Maybe I should have done the same this past Sunday, but I figured I would probably get struck by lightening. I am due, believe me. I was ready to roll out of that puppy during the Pastor's sermon. It's a good thing I was well medicated, or it may have gotten ugly. We all know about the horrible tragedies that occured in Dallas, Minnesota, and Louisiana. Our pastor said that being we are a predominantly caucasian church, we don't really know what it is like to be an African American today. That we needed to be especially sensitive to African Americans. I love everybody, regardless of skin color until they prove to me as an individual that they are not worthy of my love. I sure as hell would never expect pastors of African American churches to say to their parishioners that they needed to be especially sensitive to caucasian folks because it was one of ours that gunned down five of them and Police Officers to boot. The individuals who perpetrate these hideous acts are the only ones responsible, not society as a whole.
Who knows how exactly it works, but 1 male and 1 female get together and make whoopy, and the seed of a baby is planted. Somewhere in the process, it is time to assign a soul to said baby. I don't think the keeper of the spirit locker has spirits with specific colors on them. A soul is a soul. We are all just human beings. The color of our earthsuit is irrelevant. The amount of melanin that a person has in their skin means absolutely nothing.
We need to get over this black and white and yellow and sand-colored BS and we need to do it now. The only ones that benefit from keeping this crap going are the ones who, year after year after year proclaim themselves the ones who are going to fix the problems. And 60 years later, they are still saying they are the only ones that can fix the problems. Truth be told, if they actually did fix the problems, then they would be out of a job. So you know damn well they aren't going to fix anything. When you rely on anyone but yourself to fix your problems, you are sure to be disappointed. Blessings to everyone and every skin color!
