Seriously. Why do they always think we want their guns? There is no way anyone can do this. Hill specifically said she is not interested in this, but do we need tighter laws, yes. They are so deeply entrenched in our society, it's like telling America's we're taking football and beer away

Inciting violence------the mere idea of using the second amendment to plant the idea of a political assassination-----is simply unconscionable. This is not what our country was founded on, not in the least. This person is not presidential and it is scary to think about what our country would be like under a Trump regime.

The associations with Russia scare me. My family comes from a country that has been oppressed by Russian rule. My great grandmother had everything taken from her by invading Russians. Trumps attitude toward the Russians STILL scares me as I have family back in the mother land (which borders Russia). If invaded, would the US even offer aid or would we just say "oh, Putin, take whatever you want. We don't care!"

Ok so he is the new definition of republican. Which is why there is a planned GOP exodus scheduled to happen in Sept where thousands of republicans plan to leave the GOP on the same day.

It is no longer just dump Trump but dump the GOP.

Just to be clear, the second amendment comment had nothing to do with gun control. It had everything to do with the idea amoung Trump followers (and the GOP and most constitutional scholars and supporters in both parties) that the second amendment is in place as a check and balance on abuses of power by any branch of government.

He made the comment in context of talking about Clinton picking judges that were unwanted by GOP conservatives who are hesitant to vote for Trump. He's trying to scare them into voting for him.

He's also egging on those who believe revolutionary violence is the way to stop Clinton. He's been doing that by saying the election is rigged too. He knows he will lose and he wants revenge on the nation, to burn it down with him.

It's not about gun control for hobbyist or hunters or even militias. He's trying to egg on violence.

The solution isn't getting rid of guns or the second amendment. That's a ruse to deter the conversation away from Trump. The solution is peacefully getting rid of Trump and all those who have backed Trump.

Be sure to do your homework and don't just trash Trump here (not gonna debate the value of bashing here - not my thread :)) but please get informed about every person running for office who has endorsed Trump. Find the strongest neverTrump folks in local elections and vote for them. Volunteer for them. They need your support.

We gotta have someone else win the election other than every person who thinks Trump is a good idea.

Major Chaos with megalomaniac tendencies. Proud of my Senator Susan Collins for declaring in an Op Ed that she cannot, will not vote for Trump. She is a moderate Republican and she also wrote the only anti gun legislation that made it into committee.for the first time in my life I have a Clinto/Kaine bumper sticker, a Hillsry coffee mug and a Clinton/Kaine button.
This is what I see happening: Hillary wins by a landslide, Trump demands a recount, they find that actually more votes for Hillary are found, trump will sue her for some ass wipe reason, then he gets incredibly angry, pops a vessel in his brain, and ends up in a wheelchair unable to speak.
........I can dream can't I?

The party has been hijacked.
There were principles I could get behind before Ronald Reagan and his Moral Majority started focusing on their definition of values.
I've never voted R however, because I support social programs and of course, equal rights for every one.
Seeing the rats (no offense) jump ship.loudly and clearly, when Senators are not voting their own party, is a testament to those who are still interested in aligning with the platform, in spite of the fact that it's continuously lost steam. Can it redefine itself? Yes. But now the focus is continuously on damage control! Too far gone this time.
