I hate armchair diagnoses and especially personality disorder ones but he is probably the most perfect...

What makes him different from most NPD politicians and corporate anti-socials, is that he's completely oblivious to his own shortcomings. Especially since they aren't just shortcomings, but actually exposing part of the list in bullet points criterion for NPD ..... in the category of those without a high IQ.

Antiquated styles reflecting dated styles of dress or personal taste that reflect the moment in their history they felt most powerful.

Check. The mullet with a tanning bed ( it's not a professional spray tan, tan. )

The Magical Thinking of The Pathological - He does not believe that anything he says matters. As long as he can get positive feedback from what he feels is the majority in his immediate vicinity. He thinks that when his grandiose and childish statements are exposed, its sour grapes on the part of the person pointing that out. Because he had gotten a positive response in the moment he told the lies , he has won.

Check. Too numerous to mention, I'll just go with asking people to google that.

Does not seek to control anyone who is out of the field of his own control, because he believes when he successfully dominates this arena, those very same people under his control will then enforce viral domination on his behalf. This enables him to take followers more intelligent and capable than he, and post them in areas that he is inept, and take the credit for putting them there.

Check. Except that this one forgets - that you cant hand running the United States of America to random Americans that voted for you, although he has already tried to give jobs to a couple of people at Trump rallies.

The real problem with this guy, Im totally laughing as I type this, because nothing ISN'T a problem with him, is that the whole world knows whats wrong with him.

He will be a puppet on the level of pretty much being bent over and f*cked up the ass while he's told he looks pretty, and we'll all be watching in horror as we realize he's actually letting the compliment make him enjoy the pain a little.

This also means that NRA lovin' folks might actually have to step up and show us that guns and American values really do save us all. ( If I knew I was going to die soon anyway, that would be an entertaining process to watch on my way out )

A few months ago, an interviewer asked Putin what he thought of Trump, he said..." He's very clever" then he paused, and with a big grin said " isn't he? "

Yeah, LOL Vlad.

I really cant believe how I worded my comment above :wideeyed:

I'm the last woman to blame moods on hormones, but I to have to admit at this point that peri-menopause is like being possessed.
Cant wait to find out what actual menopause does to my personality. I'll need to get that premium membership by then so I can edit for a week.

I'm really sorry if that offended anyone.:x3:

No worries, Coco. I wasn't offended, anyway. I don't think there was anything wrong with what you said. He is oblivious.

I don't envy your hormonal situation right now. I went through it quite young and am over it now. I think, lol. Good luck -- good diet, exercise, yoga and even meds can do wonders. Will you still feel it? Oh yeah, but not as badly as if you didn't do those things.

OMG did duckster ACTUALLY use the word "zimaphobic"-----? Cuz that's what it sounded like to me!

Yes, people do fear bad 90's malt liquor! <Zima>

Either way, I don't think he's ever heard the word "xenophobia" before as he butchered it when reading it off the TelePrompTer. (Is that right? Autocorrect lol).

Can I rant for a moment?

HOW CAN TED CRUZ ENDORSE TRUMP NOW?! WHAT THE (@*$&)@?!
*takes deep breath*

For or against Trump, my goodness... Ted totally created a ruckus, and then now caves to vote for Trump? Something is wrong. Nothing about Trump or Clinton has changed. But matters within the RNC changed. Cruz says it's because of Trump's commitment to nominate certain people to the Supreme court, but that's been in place awhile (and rescinded and reestablished a few times). Something more is going on.

I can verify the RNC is splitting. 1/3 the party is working on forming a new party. I don't have any other specific info on that to post publically. Just that the RNC has lost a lot of people and I think things like what Ted has done is also why some are actually picking Trump. Not because Cruz endorsed him, but because they feel everyone just plays politics and they want to burn the whole thing down. I have seen stunning emails and even proposed commercials from Trump supporting RNC folks to this effect, which is reflecting a larger population of people who feel this way.

Cruz says, "the only way to stop a Clinton presidency is to vote for Trump." That's why he's doing it. Sigh. I understand the feelings of betrayal that many Trump supporters feel even more now. I'm still personally not ever voting for Trump because I still can't vote for any authoritarians, no matter how betrayed I feel. I just can't. It goes against my conscience.

I have listened to why Cruz has changed his mind, and it has myself (and many others) very astonished. I personally gave Cruz my contact info. He sold my contact info and all his campaign lists to the Trump campaign. It's not just me but so many other #neverTrumpers....

Cruz just crashed his political future outside of Trump. People who are neverTrump in the GOP and/or are Cruz supporters are now becoming #neverCruz - not because they think Cruz is like Trump, but because they have been betrayed.

It's the politics of revenge, and I have been saying this for years, but it will destroy us as a nation. George Washington warned us that the politics of revenge would destroy us.

This is actually why I never was drawn to vote for Trump in the first place. My hope is not in any one man (or woman) having all the power to make everything ok. Humans eventually fail. Leaders always have failings and weaknesses - and that's why we have checks and balances in our constitution. Trump wants to remove all of them.

This is why I'm not for Trump. People FAIL. We have to keep checks and balances, we have to protect the constitution. Trump wants to take away every single one of the first 10 amendments in the bill of rights - and he has spoken about destroying a few others. Just a few days ago, Trump said he wants to reinstate stop and frisk, only he wants to do it nationwide - which has already been deemed unconstitutional!

I do think Cruz is a decent person, and who is doing what his conscience is telling him to do. He's also a calculating politician like the rest. I always knew that. Even when I met him, I was wary of how he might be calculating that moment - it's what they do. BUT SELLING MY CONTACT INFO TO TRUMP?! I'm glad I gave him a google voice number. :/ Cruz is human. Trump is human. Clinton is human.

We can't save this country by putting all our faith in a single leader to save us. It has to be all of us. Trump will fail us because all humans do. Clinton will fail us. Everyone but someone as perfect as Jesus himself will fail us. What worries me and makes Trump stand out for me as a greater danger than any other candidate is that Trump wants to take away all our means of holding government and Trump himself accountable when he does fail.

Which reminds me. In 1920's Germany, Christians believed Jesus was the head of the protestant church. No one else was any kind of a significant option. In 1930's Germany, 80% of Christians believed Hitler was the head of the Church, not Jesus, and I fear the church is quickly replacing their hope in their savior Jesus with a religious-like hope in Trump to save us.

We have to stop the politics of revenge and we have to stop search for a strongman to save us - men/women will fail us. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams warned us that if we play teams against each other, we lose the whole country. Not just an election.

Vote your conscience. Vote your conscience. Vote your conscience. For or against ANY of these candidates, we all must remember that we are all together in this. The whole ship rises or the whole ship sinks. Do not be like Ted Cruz and play your team against the other team. Vote your conscience.

Ok. Rant over.

Do you think the timing is at all in relationship to the NYT coming out in support of Clinton? Their piece specifically emphasized not voting for Clinton as a 'not Trump' candidate, but voting for her on her own merits. I find his statement kind of echoes the opposite of that one, which made me wonder. Thoughts?

ETA: link to a post that has the NYT piece (didn't seem appropriate for this thread)

I don't think Cruz is much swayed by the NYT, which has never been very kind to Cruz or the GOP in general.

I have read a number of rumors, including that Cruz benefited from Trump financially.

Cruz profited off Trump well before endorsing him

I am not sure even that is why he did it. He's had the opportunity before to benefit financially and plenty of papers even in Texas, whom he represents in the senate, have come out in favor of Clinton.

I do know it was a calculated political choice and there was behind the scenes deals. I have no doubt about that. I just don't know what they were for sure.

I think it has more to do with Cruz's buddy, Mike Lee, being put on the potential Supreme Court appointee list.

My goodness, I just read about the Trump-1996-Miss-Universe debacle.

I think Trump and his phone need to divorce each other. And he phone should probably get a restraining order to keep Trump away from it.

Of all the world problems he could be tweeting about, he is fat-shaming a woman a singular woman with very little power.
