What if I don't want it to be the wild west? I don't want people posting unrelated things in my tags. When I was trying to exploit the fandom for The Walking Dead for page views, it was really obnoxious when people did not respect the standard protocol for tagging their stuff about fighting over who should be dating.

The movie was called dementia, but it wasn't really about it.

I'm laughing at the idea that a horror blog would need any trigger warnings whatsoever. I'm not insulting you at all, rather it's insane that someone would go to a horror blog and then get upset for the very essence of horror. Because yes, everything that is stereotypically triggering could fall under what is expected in the horror genre.

A friend of mine that got one of the requests to tag for balloons that I've seen posts stuff on her horror blog that I would never post on mine. This friend did the general "trigger" tag on all of their posts but refused to do anything beyond that. It was from a person that followed them and only objected once they saw a rather generic pretty picture of some balloons and glitter.

Though, unless Im speaking directly about darknet, I use "deep web" "dark web" and "darknet" interchangably as most dont know the difference as none can be accessed by normal browers, all need Tor, and all end in .onion.

There's drugs (famously The Silk Road and The Silk Road 2.0), murder for hire, child porn...but its not all bad. Though if one wants to name a wild wild west, its darknet.

Honestly I think this across platform comparing is interesting but each left to their own for their best?

It's the same as Twitter debates about Tumblr culture. Tumblr debates about x-th Journal site culture. Or comparing abuse forums that are more private / closed off / password & access divisions oriented to this one. Apples & oranges, they are different social groups, with different protocols to be expected, they're not translatable even if mutually intelligible.

Yikes! I wish I hadn't heard about the Darknet, though I'm not surprised. Do not want to go there. I'm happy taking comfort in friends's biblical quotes, cute grandkids photos, funny videos, etc. on FB.

Its not bad. Its all indexed. Once you learn how to navigate it, its actually much better than the suface web.

Aaaaand this is why I'm going to community college in hopes of avoiding their political BS + $$$ BIG MONEY $$$. Kinda hard to get along with people when you express equal dislike for both political parties. :laugh:

Personally, I want to puke when I see "trigger warning" .....
Internally, I think, "No one and nothing ever gave me a g_____mned trigger warning. Screw 'trigger warnings' and the horse they rode in on."
Just expressing a little heartfelt love for what I too perceive as a fad.

@gizmo and @DissociativeBelle, I want to let you know that you have another choice! My rooster, Impa, is also running and you can write him in. He can be obnoxious, he is very attractive, he sneaks out of his pen, he forces himself on his hens, and he is loud and follows his own rules. Best of both worlds!

As for trigger warnings, I am fed up with "oh, my boyfriend triggers me", or "school triggers me" or anything that is broad. My rooster came up behind me and attacked me, and it triggered me, since as a child, I would be hit or slapped out of the blue. This doesn't mean chickens trigger me, or even my rooster. The act of attacking me triggered me. This is one of my pet peeves. By the way, the rooster is retrained, and no longer attacks anyone, so if you are voting for him, he won't start a war.

For a while I would ask posters on another site what exactly triggers them, and no one responded. That site is more like a "oh you poor thing" site. That is the best part of this site. Other posters call you out when you need it. I'm sorry I'm so scattered here. I'm a little dissociated today, lol.
