I like helping people. It's second nature to me. I don't like bragging about it but one of the coolest was over four years ago there was an Amish teen riding a bike in 100 degree heat sweating something awful. I asked my husband if we should give him a ride so we offered. At first he said no so we offered him water. Then he changed his mind. We dropped him off at the most beautiful house I've ever seen. They hand built the whole thing and oh man!

I have always believed acts of kindness and acts of meanness always get repaid in multiples. When ever i have had an act of kindness given to me, I always try to pass it along by giving an act of kindness to someone else in addition to those I would do anyway.

My friends, I'm getting teary reading about your deeds. I've always believed that those who suffer the most become the most generous of spirit. You all are proving it!

@Killashandra funny, I was thinking about you today, wondering what your sky looks like. :) This isn't about showing off your kind acts, it's about inspiring others. Also, it's a chance to reflect on what we get back from the experience. In my case, at least, it's HUGELY satisfying!

And hey, we never give ourselves enough credit for our goodness. I think it's okay to accept a bit of praise for being wonderful people.

@Mal Content I believe it is, I have seen it before my eyes enough to believe it is, even my own abuser, when I was 5 did not have a good end. Karma did what I could never do. I don't know but I am sure other abusers later had karma deal with them.

I try to help homeless females, their stats are grim, they are raped, harased, a lot of them are under 25 and over 50. A lot are due medical, divorce, job loss, mental challenges. The one l remember the most was this poor lady so hot and standing with her cart and l was able to give her something cold to drink. Funniest one, l thought l was helping out a female , it was a guy with really long hair. Lol Another time l got rid of candy I didn't need, and put money inside the bag with it. People need help, we just have do the best we can.

You're right, though. Women who are homeless are victimized over and over, whether by parents, partners, johns, or the system. I try to always have a little cash on me for homeless people, women in particular.

Each year, I organize a collection for our local shelter. There are many more men than women, so items like hygiene products and underwear are often overlooked. I buy copious amounts of tampons and pads. :)

If I ever found myself homeless again I would never go to a shelter, because I was gang raped and beaten at a shelter in Dallas TX.

I would die first before going to a shelter
