If you take depakote, go to the ER. Even if you've been on it for years. It's a quasi-rare but well known side effect, and it's lethal if ignored & needs immediate screening &/or treatment. It's a warning sign of impending encephalopathy &/or liver failure. It's less that the rash tends to appear at joints, and more that it tends to appear on delicate & thin tissue especially near veins/pulse points, although it can appear anywhere. Usually Depakote folks are warned to get any rash screened same day, but it tends to take a few days to a few weeks before things get dangerous. I know. Very bluebird of happiness, me. :wtf: Anyhow, cheers to hoping you aren't on Depakote, and this has just been a test of the heart in the throat, f*ck you anxiety, broadcast system.
Nothing else I can think of is really urgent. Dozens of maybes. Glad you're seeing your doc soon, regardless :)
Oh. As always? Any time you're nervous about possible medical condition, call the nurse-advice line through your local hospital, yeah? I mean, we all sit around cafés talking maladies with mates over coffee ... But nothing but nothing even comes close to real medical advice, amirite?
