@odette - may I ask, how old are you?
You mentioned working with a therapist and psychiatrist. Have you told them about thinking you saw the girl, and the trouble you are having with sleep?
I need to know I have OCD so knowing every detail matters.
Is this how your therapist recommends you deal with your OCD? If not, what do they suggest you do?
I also have OCD like symptoms, so I have a fear and a lot of what if? Anxiety. I fear losing control and not being in reality, I fear having a flashback. I fear going outside ( I was diagnosed with agoraphobia). Also, I constantly seek reassurance, so I repeatedly ask whether something was true or not..which I'm doing now...I want to say sorry if I am overbearing. I am at high level anxiety.
So you have OCD and Agoraphobia, diagnosed. What are you doing in therapy to work on those?
I was prescribed Prozac by a psychiatrist because I had panic disorder and ocd.
You also have panic disorder.
I've been bullied my whole life which is why I fear I have developed ptsd from it.
Given what you've said about your other diagnoses, I am not surprised you are afraid you have PTSD. No-one here can diagnose you, but I agree with others - what you describe does not sound like it would lead to PTSD. It does sound like you have been through a really bad experience, and should be working on all of these issues in therapy. I am not certain that a PTSD forum is the right place for you, especially given that you are prone towards general anxiety about your health.
I will do that as I do have a binge eating problem, I hate to say disorder of any sorts because it feels too real and serious for me.
And a binge eating problem.
You are clearly struggling and are in need of support. I'm going to guess that you are a teenager, given what you've said about high school . You should also know that simply being a teenager is highly stressful for the brain. Scientifically speaking, the teenage brain is a real tornado of hormones and development. It makes everything infinitely harder.
This is why it is vital for teenagers who may be dealing with mental illness to have good, solid, regular real-life clinical support. Your therapist should be your first port of call for all of this. How often do you see them? Do you think they are giving you what you need? Is your family understanding of the support you need in therapy?
