Hey Reddevil,
Nice to meet you too, thanks for the greeting.
Yes it takes a certain breed of character to want to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft.haha
To us it was just a way to get into th show, once we hit the ground the fun began. Hence why I volunteered to go Airborne. High speed low drag, in with a group of guys who know their shit better than any soldier in our(Canada's)
military. And I still believe that today.
Yes CombatPTSD has created some serious barriers in my life, both in and out of uniform. It has taken a long time but I have learned to embrace it not use it as an excuse or scapegoat. Dont get me wrong, I still have my days, weeks and months. But I try to look at it as a positive. Having it has brought me to this point in my life. It has given me the opportunity to meet the people I cherish now, given me a new outlook on myself and life in general and has pointed me in a positive direction. All this has come at a lot of work, sacrifice and immense bleeding of my soul.
I will always have the highest respect for any man/woman who has served. I am esp proud of you, Marines. I have served along side some and have trained at both Pendleton and Lejeaune(sp...sorry) Sempre Fi my brother... I hope the days and nights treat you well
Yes this is a good sight and I look forward to sharing more of my time and esp my life with you all.
Cheers!
